The Sycamore Fig Ficus sycomorus is a large, spreading tree with a whitish, smooth bark found along rivers and in savannas of Africa and the Middle East. It produces small, edible figs year-round, supporting a variety of wildlife, and has historical significance in ancient Egyptian culture.
